Jazz Use Late Surge to Win
Jazz right fielder Tony Jimenez put his stamp on his team's 5-2 win over the Bloomington Blazers. Jimenez was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Montreal in the contest. Montreal reliever Matt Jones picked up the win to move to 3-5. Jason Phillips suffered the loss. The save was credited to Ernesto Herrera, his 31st.

Jimenez had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 fastball from Jason Phillips, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Jazz a 5-2 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Jimenez.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Jimenez after the game.

With the win, the Jazz improved to 61-71.
