The Eagle Rock Ridge Runners could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Willie Borrero into a win. Instead, the Eureka Hornets prevailed, 5-4. Borrero threw 5.0 innings allowing 1 run. Sean Davis was credited with the save for Eureka, his 5th of the season. The Hornets lead the Roberto Clemente League Central Division by 3½ games.

Eureka took a 5-4 lead on Robby Williams's 5th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Williams hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Eagle Rock pitcher Bryan Young visibly frustrated.
