Bloomington Gets 13-Inning, 3-1 Win
The Bloomington Blazers picked up a win at Castlerock Field, downing the Walnut Creek Warriors, 3-1, in 13 innings. On the mound for Bloomington was left-hander Chris Maloney, who played a pivotal role in the win. Bloomington reliever Sergio Apodaca picked up the win, raising his record to 2-7. Mike Perschau was tagged with the loss. The first-place Blazers are 88-64.

Bloomington used the timely hitting of Bryan Criner to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 13th inning to put the Blazers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"All in all, I thought Chris pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Bloomington manager Scott Andrews.
