The Bloomington Blazers faced a tough opponent in Montreal pitcher Jason Jensen, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Arson Arena by a final score of 7-4. Jensen went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Bloomington improves to 76-55 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
Edward Rendon went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for Bloomington. The 33-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ghaysun Sghir. It was his 34th walk of the season.
"I guess we'll all be a happy family for at least one day," said Rendon.
