Butterflies Net 8-7 Win Over Earthquakes
The Pennsylvania Butterflies outlasted Mike Young and the San Francisco Earthquakes, 8-7. Young was impressive in the loss. The San Francisco first baseman was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Picking up the save was Dakson Rocket, his 34th. The 5th-place Butterflies lifted their record to 65-87.

Pennsylvania first baseman Kenneth Jones contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a sinker to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 140th hit of the season and put the Butterflies ahead, 5-2.

"A great game, a great day," said Jones about the win. "I can't complain."
