Bloomington and Hawaii got after it at Aloha Stadium.
Bloomington starter Mario Solis kept the Hawaii offense in check, while his team rolled to a win, 11-1. Bloomington reliever Mario Solis got the win, raising his record to 16-5. Jose Medrano was tagged with the loss.
In the top of the second, Bloomington second baseman Quincy Littlejohn had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and no one out, Littlejohn stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 2-0, Bloomington. For the game, he was 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"Mario gets tougher when he has to, makes a big pitch when he has to," said Bloomington skipper Jim Moores.
Bloomington is now 91-61, while Hawaii is 70-82.
