Millers Lose to Pilots, 6-4
|
Milwaukee center fielder Grant Bruett had a good game, even if his team did not. The Millers dropped a 6-4 decision to Jacksonville at Arnold Field. Bruett went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Hisham Kontar earned his 23rd save in 27 chances. Jacksonville has 4 straight wins, Milwaukee 3 straight losses.
Making an impact for Jacksonville was first baseman Chris Sheppard. RCP2058 drilled a bases-clearing double off Tim Northup in the bottom of the third. For the game, Sheppard went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"This kind of win will certainly make our fans happy," Sheppard told the Jacksonville Daily.
