The Chicago Eclipse scored a tight, 6-5 win versus the West Island Jazz at Millennium Field. Chicago pitcher Chris Titus held his own in the contest. Titus, now 12-8, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 5 runs. Joe Umlah wrapped it up, recording his 18th save.

Dan Moran had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the second for Chicago. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Eclipse leading 5-1, he hit a sacrifice fly.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Titus. "Successful pitchers do it."
