Millers Beaten By Sasquatch, 5-2
|
Seattle Sasquatch starter Thor Odinson pitched his team past the Milwaukee Millers, 5-2. Odinson got the win, improving to 4-6. He gave up 11 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Seattle is now 73-78, Milwaukee 64-86.
Jason Chaney had a big solo home run for the Sasquatch in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Seattle leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a slider from Jay Davis, who is tied for 6th in the TML in innings pitched with 193.2, and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Sasquatch on top, 2-0.
"Thor executed his pitches at a high level," said Seattle manager Alim bin Umar.
