Bison Handle Bloomington, Snag 5-4 Win
|
Bloomington designated hitter Jorge Batista had a good game, even if his team did not. The Blazers dropped a 5-4 decision to Bighorn at Arson Arena. Batista hit 2 home runs. Jeff Lee got the win, improving to 10-12. He held the Blazers to 4 runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Tim Giannetta earned the save, his 1st, for the Bison.
With two out in the top of the third, Danny Douglass put Bighorn in front, 3-1, with a 2-run single. The Bison went on to win the ballgame.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Douglass.
The last-place Bison improved to 53-76.
