Moonshiners Suffer 4-1 Setback
|
Jayden Smith was terrific for the Maple Marauders in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Asheville Moonshiners. His performance earned Smith rave reviews. Maple, now 64-65, holds down 4th place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division.
John Conner, the 13th overall pick in the 2059 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Conner contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Maple up, 2-0.
"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Smith.
