Cabo San Lucas Dismisses Bighorn, 5-2
|
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros got a marvelous performance from pitcher Nestor Aguilar. The right-hander kept the Bighorn offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 5-2 Cabo San Lucas victory at Ram Brewery Ballpark. The Toreros improved to 52-77.
Jose Aguado had a big 2-run home run for the Toreros in the top of the third inning. With Cabo San Lucas leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from Elias Zuniga, who is tied for 5th in the RCL with a 8.0 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 32nd home run of the season, which put the Toreros on top, 4-1.
Aguado attributed the win to his team's "collective resolve."
