The Dallas Texans topped the Montreal Mounties, 4-2, at Metroplex Park. Dallas third baseman Chris Hogg was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The 5th-place Texans sport a record of 67-83.

Hogg had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 slider from Danny Moreno, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Texans a 4-2 lead. It was the 12th home run of the year for Hogg.

Hogg called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
