The Kansas City Tornadoes licked the Dallas Texans, 6-4. Victor Ayala deserved a big chunk of the credit. The designated hitter was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 for the Tornadoes. The win was credited to 36-year old right-handed pitcher Alex Alvarez in relief. His record improves to 6-11. Danny Iraheta took the loss. Kansas City bumps their record to 62-66 with the win.

Emeril Ferrario came through with a big-time hit for Kansas City. The first baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
