Bison Squeeze By Seattle, 6-5
|
Bighorn beat Seattle at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Brett Cline. He went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Eric Strief, 7-1, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. Bighorn is now 68-80, Seattle 81-68.
Cline had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Sam Godfrey, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Bison a 6-4 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Cline.
"We ground out the win," said Cline. "That's all that matters."
