Manhattan Upended, 8-3, by Cabo San Lucas
|
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros picked up a win at Copps Park, dropping the Manhattan Slice, 8-3. B.J. Bichler, who is tied for 7th in the TML in strikeouts with 121, was the difference-maker. Bichler yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 8-9. The 'W' lifts Cabo San Lucas's record to 48-79.
The Toreros got a big hit from shortstop Ron Mulhollan. Facing Manhattan pitcher Albert Aguilar in the top of the sixth, Mulhollan pounded a grand slam home run to right-center. His 12th home run of the season put the Toreros ahead, 8-0.
"B.J. was bobbing and weaving the whole game," said Cabo San Lucas manager Bob Alexander.
