Maple Bats Go Silent in 1-0 Loss
|
In a tight contest between the Walnut Creek Warriors and the Maple Marauders, Dave Draman was the determining factor. The Walnut Creek left-hander sparkled in his team's 1-0 win. The save went to Darren Rogers, his 2nd this season. The last-place Warriors are 54-73.
The Warriors got a big at-bat from first baseman Robby Peppers. For the game, Peppers went 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 21st home run of the season gave Walnut Creek a 1-0 lead.
"Scoring was at a premium tonight," Peppers said.
