4-1 Loss to Pilots Extends Milwaukee Losing Streak
|
Jacksonville starter Jeremy Davis put a stranglehold on the Milwaukee offense. The right-hander had complete command of his cutter in leading the Pilots to a 4-1 win. The second-place Pilots have won 5 in a row.
Jeremy Domanski had a big 2-run double for the Pilots in the bottom of the first inning. With Jacksonville leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from David Austin, who is tied for 9th in the TML in strikeouts with 150, and swatted a double to right. It was his 27th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pilots ahead, 3-0.
"Jeremy is good at sticking to his strengths," said Jacksonville manager Ryan Currie.
