Millers Drop Butterflies, 3-1
|
Starting pitcher Francisco Pereda gave the Milwaukee Millers a rock-solid effort. The Guayama, Puerto Rico native helped his team defeat the Pennsylvania Butterflies, 3-1, at The Kaleidoscope. Jason Phillips notched his 29th save in 32 chances. Milwaukee is now 73-74, Pennsylvania 61-87.
The Millers got a big at-bat from third baseman Josh Daniels. For the game, Daniels was 1 for 3 with a triple. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Milwaukee a 1-0 lead.
"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Pereda.
