Mount Royal Grounds did not lack for drama.

Behind a solid performance from left fielder Leil Moorthy, the Montreal Mounties defeated the Mexico City Luchadores, 10-9. Moorthy went 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Mounties. Montreal goes to 90-58. The win puts them 9½ games up in their division.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With Montreal trailing 9-8, Moorthy jumped on a cutter from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Ray Heck and hit a 2-run home run to right. With one swing, the Mounties had a walk-off win.

"Both teams had plenty of clutch hits," said Moorthy. "It made for an exciting game."
