Alejandro Castro, who finished 3rd in the TML in strikeouts with 303 in 2055, never let the Warriors get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Toreros to a win, 3-0. Castro yielded no runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 9-9. The 5th-place Toreros now have a record of 53-72.
Jose Aguado, who finished 3rd in the TML in home runs with 43 in 2059, had a direct impact on the outcome. Aguado contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Cabo San Lucas up, 1-0.
