Jacksonville Jukes Past San Francisco, 2-1
|
Golden Gate Park was the site of a true pitchers' duel.
The Jacksonville Pilots earned a close win over the San Francisco Earthquakes, thanks in part to Chris McEvoy. The Jacksonville left-hander played a key role in the 13-inning, 2-1 victory. Jay Ocker nailed down the save.
Chris Ingram had a key at-bat in the top of the 13th. With the bases empty, he hit a double. It helped send Jacksonville to the win.
"Tough loss," said San Francisco manager Zayar Adelabu. "Tough one to swallow."
The triumph puts Jacksonville at 83-62 for the season.
