The Asheville Moonshiners beat the Manhattan Slice, 7-4, at The Still. Asheville third baseman Carlos Sosa banged out 1 single and 2 doubles, while driving in 2 runs. Asheville reliever Steve Blaire snagged the win, upping his record to 3-3. Peter Dillon shouldered the loss. With the win, Asheville goes to 56-69, while the Slice fall to 59-66.

Sosa had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 curveball from Peter Dillon, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the Moonshiners a 3-2 lead. It was the 33rd double of the year for Sosa.

"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Moonshiners," said Sosa.
