Bramante Lifts Armada to 6-3 Win
|
John Bramante left his imprint on the 6-3 Quebec win against the El Paso Mavericks. Bramante, who is tied for 10th in the RCL in home runs with 28, hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The winner was Quebec reliever Mike Bergren, now 1-1. The loser was Edwin Serna. Danny Phillips earned the save, his 21st, for the Armada.
With Quebec trailing 3-1 in the top of the fourth, Bramante hit a knuckleball from Edwin Serna for a 3-run home run. It was his 28th home run of the season and put the Armada ahead, 4-3.
Quebec manager Ramu Pavi commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
The third-place Armada now have a record of 74-71.
