Blazers Beaten By Earthquakes, 5-3
|
Led by Cody Walters, the San Francisco Earthquakes defeated the Bloomington Blazers, 5-3. Walters went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Earthquakes. Josh Christie recorded the save for San Francisco, his 13th of the season. With the win, San Francisco pushed its record to 69-56.
San Francisco took a 5-3 lead on Mike Young's 21st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Young hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Bloomington pitcher Jorge Lagunas visibly frustrated.
"No time for posing," said Young. "The next game will be here before you know it."
