300 Career Saves for Pioneers Willie Arredondo
Willie Arredondo of the Vancouver Pioneers pitched his way into the exclusive 300-save club today at Field de Los Layendas by saving the 6-4 victory over the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. In his historic outing, he surrendered no runs and no hits in 1 innings.

"Yeah, it can be a stressful job sometimes," the 31-year-old Arredondo told reporters after the game. "But there's a thrill that comes with being out there in a big situation every time. Hopefully I can close out a few more before I call it a career."

Arredondo has appeared in 546 games during his career, saving 300 of them. His record is 39-67 and he has struck out 666 in 621 innings, while putting up a 3.10 ERA.
