Willer Leads Mounties to Win
The timely hitting of Alan Willer helped the Montreal Mounties down the Milwaukee Millers, 7-5. Willer was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Mounties. Evan Tedford picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-2. He struck out 4 in 6.2 innings. The Mounties, at 84-41, have a comfortable 15-game lead in their division.

Montreal took a 7-3 lead on Willer's 20th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Bernard Sabato in the top of the eighth, propelled Montreal to the win.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Willer.
