The Cabo San Lucas Toreros beat the Walnut Creek Warriors, 4-1, at Castlerock Field. Starting pitcher Oliver de Leeuw was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. de Leeuw yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 0. His record improves to 5-12. Jimmy Sherry earned the save, his 25th, for the Toreros.
Chris Hogan, who is tied for 4th in the TML with a .341 batting average, had a direct impact on the outcome. Hogan contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put Cabo San Lucas up, 4-0.
In postgame remarks, Hogan hailed his team's "single-minded determination."
