Walnut Creek Warriors pitcher Joseph Fredericks was in fine form, leading his team past the Maple Marauders, 7-1. The triumph puts Walnut Creek at 79-65 for the season.

Miguel Lopez had a big 2-run double for the Warriors in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Walnut Creek leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Jeremy Meisel and swatted a double to right. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Warriors ahead, 3-0.
