Armada Get One-Run Win at Cabo San Lucas
Starting pitcher Victor Favela was a major factor in the 2-1 Quebec Armada triumph over the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. The winner was Favela. He threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Jose Ayala. Nick Cockrell earned the save for Quebec, his 8th of the year.

Quebec used a well-timed hit by Dan Nieman to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Armada ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

Afterward, Cabo San Lucas manager Labib Sarahani said: "We were guessing wrong on pitches, and that's something we've got to get away from."

The Armada, now 12-3, have had a terrific start to the season.
