Earthquakes Down Eclipse, 5-1
|
The San Francisco Earthquakes beat the Chicago Eclipse, 5-1, at Millennium Field. Dylan Robertson, who is tied for 2nd in the TML in extra base hits with 68, starred for San Francisco. He was 3-5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 runs. The Earthquakes now have a record of 48-75 with the win over Chicago.
Jim Horn went 1 for 2 with a walk for San Francisco. The 27-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Clark Griswold. It was his 25th RBI of the season.
In comments to the San Francisco Herald, Robertson insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
