McDaniel Helps Mounties Defeat Jazz, 7-4
Behind a fine performance from Pat McDaniel, the Montreal Mounties knocked off the West Island Jazz, 7-4. McDaniel went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Mounties. Bill Wolfe recorded the save, his 3rd. West Island is 7-8 after the loss.

McDaniel had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch changeup from Sam Hickey, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Mounties a 4-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for McDaniel.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," McDaniel told a Montreal Times reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
