Hornets Beaten, 5-1, by Mounties
|
Starting pitcher Brad Steck was a major factor in the 5-1 Montreal Mounties triumph over the Eureka Hornets. Ryan Zimmerman recorded the save, his 3rd. Montreal raised its record to 66-57 with the win.
Ethan Williams swatted a solo home run for Montreal in the bottom of the third. The first baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
"I was able to fill up the zone," said Steck.
