Bison Fall Short, 2-1, at San Francisco

Golden Gate Park featured a tense pitchers' duel.
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the San Francisco Earthquakes and the Bighorn Bison. San Francisco won it, 2-1. San Francisco starter Justin Allmond was in command. The winner was Allmond. He threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Jeremy Turner. Earning his 32nd save for San Francisco was Ethan Howell.
The Earthquakes got a big at-bat from center fielder Dylan Robertson. For the game, Robertson went 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 37th double of the season gave San Francisco a 2-1 lead.
"It's still just a game," said Robertson, "whether you win or lose."
With the win, San Francisco goes to 70-72, while the Bison fall to 73-71.
