The Asheville Moonshiners overcame a pretty good performance by Bloomington catcher Dave de la Torre, beating the Blazers, 7-5, at Arson Arena. de la Torre went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3. Jimmy LaPointe recorded the save, his 1st. With the win, Asheville goes to 7-6.

Asheville used a well-timed hit by Jake Haight to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Moonshiners ahead, 5-4. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Haight. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
