Millers Make Butterflies 8-3 Losers
|
Pat Lewis powered the Milwaukee Millers to a win over the Pennsylvania Butterflies. The final score was 8-3. The Milwaukee designated hitter, who finished 5th in the TML in hits with 194 last year, was phenomenal. He stroked 2 extra-base hits, including 1 home run and 1 double. Francisco Pereda earned the win for Milwaukee. He lasted 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 10-10. Earning his 7th save for Milwaukee was Ron Landerman.
Milwaukee got a big at-bat from Acuautla, Mexico native Rodolfo Ollervides, who in the top of the second hit a 2-run double. It was his 26th double of the season and put the Millers ahead, 6-0.
"It was a tough day, no getting around it," said losing manager Aaron Barnes.
The Millers improved their record to 59-82 by beating Pennsylvania.
