Behind a solid performance from second baseman Danny Ortiz, the Huntington Station Ramrods defeated the Mexico City Luchadores, 6-4. Ortiz hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Ramrods. Ben Benson nailed down his 21st save. The last-place Ramrods hiked their record to 51-71.

Huntington Station needed the clutch hitting of Dean Hrusovsky to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ramrods on top, 5-4. For the game, Hrusovsky had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
