Blazers Turn Back Quebec, 3-1

Bloomington and Quebec played a hard-fought contest.
In a low-scoring affair between the Bloomington Blazers and the Quebec Armada, pitcher Mike Hursh was the difference between victory and defeat. The Bloomington left-hander earned kudos in the 3-1 Blazers win. Jason Phillips picked up the save, his 35th.
The Blazers got a big at-bat from first baseman Luis Santizo. For the game, Santizo went 1 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Bloomington a 2-0 lead.
"My job is to throw quality pitches, go as deep as I can, and give us an opportunity," said Hursh.
Bloomington occupies first place in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division at 71-50.
