Behind the hitting of Danny Pellot, the Buffalo Bison stopped the Maple Marauders, 5-3. Pellot went 2 for 3 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Bison. Mike Waldrup recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 12 for 12. Buffalo, at 72-49, occupies first place in the Thurman Munson League Tim Ervin Division.
With Buffalo trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the second, Pellot hit a fastball from Luther Bonnefoy for a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Bison ahead, 3-2.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Pellot told the Buffalo Daily. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
