Tackman Slugs Warriors to 8-5 Win
Bobby Tackman led the Walnut Creek Warriors to a nifty 8-5 win over the Vancouver Pioneers. The Walnut Creek third baseman, who is tied for 9th in the TML in RBI with 97, was a force of nature. He banged out 3 extra-base hits, including 2 home runs and 1 double. Walnut Creek pitcher Juan Cruz earned the win, hiking his record to 2-3. Kenny Poor suffered the loss. Russ Gilleo earned his 32nd save in 35 chances.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Tackman delivered big-time for Walnut Creek, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Kenny Poor. The game-changing hit put the Warriors on top, 8-5.

"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Tackman told the Walnut Creek Bulletin.
