Pilots Come Up Short at Bloomington, 2-1
The Bloomington Blazers picked up a win at Arson Arena, courtesy of Mario Solis. The left-hander helped his team stop the Jacksonville Pilots, 2-1. Bloomington reliever Mario Solis got the win, raising his record to 8-2. German Gil was tagged with the loss. The win puts Bloomington at 79-63 this season.

Mark Coppage had a big solo home run for the Blazers in the bottom of the second inning. With Bloomington leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a cutter from German Gil, who is tied for 6th in the TML in complete games with 3, and punished it. The result was his 10th home run of the season, which put the Blazers on top, 2-0.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Ryan Currie.
