Cabo San Lucas had no answer for Huntington Station Ramrods starter Jason Sanders, who flummoxed Toreros hitters as the Ramrods cruised to victory, 7-1. Cabo San Lucas is now 4-8.
Huntington Station used a clutch at-bat from Brian Carl to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Ramrods ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Huntington Station manager Paco Berroa said, "I thought we played well in all phases."
