The Dallas Texans and Mexico City Luchadores delighted fans at The Royal Grounds.

The Mexico City Luchadores and starting pitcher Duane Alcock stifled the Dallas offense en route to a comfortable 8-1 win at The Royal Grounds. The winner was Alcock. He threw 8.2 innings of 7-hit ball. The loser was Bobby Gilmore.

Tim Callahan had a big 2-run double for the Luchadores in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Mexico City leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from Bobby Gilmore, who is tied for 8th in the RCL in wins with 13, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Luchadores ahead, 4-0.

"The effort wasn't good enough," said losing manager Lester Burrow.

The Luchadores go to 61-79, putting them 5th in the Roberto Clemente League International Division.
