The Havana Stogies picked up a win at The Humidor, downing the El Paso Mavericks, 5-3. On the mound for Havana was right-hander Andy Schutt, who played a pivotal role in the win. Ben Benson notched his 29th save of the season. With the win, Havana goes to 58-82, while the Mavericks fall to 78-63.

The Stogies got a big at-bat from left fielder Hunter Wells. For the game, Wells was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Havana a 2-0 lead.

"That was a really good outing by Andy," said Havana manager Taylor Hillary.
