The Eureka Hornets stopped the Kansas City Tornadoes by a score of 23-9 at Debris Field, with the lion's share of the credit going to third baseman Robby Williams. The 23-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Williams said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Williams did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Tornadoes.

"Not much that I can say," offered Kansas City manager Lewis Cannon. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Robby Williams singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, walked in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
