A 4-RBI performance from center fielder Dan Nieman led the Quebec Armada to a win over the Kansas City Tornadoes, 11-4. By defeating Kansas City, the first-place Armada improved to 67-52.

Had Fernando Puente not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Puente hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Armada.

"It's always fun to score a lot of runs," said Nieman.
