3-1 Win Gets Bloomington to 70-49
|
Bloomington starter Esteban Mora kept the Montreal offense from doing much damage. The right-hander leaned on his cutter in leading the Blazers to a 3-1 win. Reliever Jarrod Banta picked up the win. His record improves to 8-6. Randy Mowers took the loss. Jason Phillips got the save, the 34th for him this season.
Luis Santizo helped out the Bloomington cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman drew 2 walks in 4 trips to the plate.
"It was a good effort all around," said Mora.
Bloomington improves to 70-49 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
