Texans Stun Gremlins, 6-2

A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Dallas Texans and Houghton Gremlins.
Houghton got a terrific performance from pitcher Jared Ritsch, but it wasn't enough to beat the Dallas Texans. Dallas won the Golden Goebels Park contest, 6-2. Ritsch threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball for the losing team. Dallas, at 58-61, sits in 4th place in the Roberto Clemente League Mike Brouillette Division.
Dallas used the timely hitting of Francois Latulippe to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Texans on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Latulippe said.
