Pilots Curb Eclipse, 6-1
|
Jacksonville Pilots pitcher Lewis Peterson whisked his team past the Chicago Eclipse, 6-1. The 4th-place Eclipse now sit at 61-57.
Edwin Timmermans drove in one run for Jacksonville. The three-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jason Beeks. It was his 89th RBI of the season.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Chicago manager Zayar Adelabu.
