Spurlin Shines in 9-3 Milwaukee Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from Nick Spurlin, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2062 draft, helped the Milwaukee Millers beat the Vancouver Pioneers, 9-3. The third-place Millers have won 4 consecutive games.
With Milwaukee leading 2-1 in the top of the sixth, Spurlin hit a 2-run single off Vancouver hurler Mike Ortner. It was the 21st hit of the season for Spurlin and put his team ahead, 4-1.
Said Milwaukee manager Kakuzo Kobayashi: "Our approach was outstanding all night long."
