Gremlins Reel Off Another Win
The home crowd had a good time watching the Dallas Texans and Houghton Gremlins get after it.

The Houghton Gremlins picked up a win at Golden Goebels Park, topping the Dallas Texans, 6-3. On the mound for Houghton was left-hander Jeromir Hamrlik. He played a principal role in the triumph. Hamrlik, the winner, moves to 10-8. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 2 walks. Picking up the save was Chris Wethington, his 30th.

In the bottom of the third, Houghton designated hitter Leo Galdamez had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Galdamez stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 2-0, Houghton. For the game, he went 1-3 with a walk.

"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Gremlins," said Hamrlik.

The Gremlins lead the Roberto Clemente League Mike Brouillette Division by a game.
