The Chicago Eclipse picked up a win at Millennium Field, knocking off the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 9-2. On the mound for Chicago was left-hander Mike Hursh. He played a key role in the triumph. The winner was Hursh. He threw 7.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Bobby Avila. The save went to Jerry Bamberg, his 16th this season.

Angelo Garcia had a big 3-run home run for the Eclipse in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Chicago leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Bobby Avila and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 24th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Eclipse ahead, 4-0.

Said losing manager Labib Sarahani: "At the end of the day, we've got to play better."
