Marauders Bash Bison, 12-1
|
Maple and Buffalo got after it at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium.
The Maple Marauders handed the Buffalo Bison a sound defeat, 12-1, at Thundering Grounds at Bison Stadium. Jason Franzoni was a main contributor to the win. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs for Maple. The Marauders saw their win-loss record go to 70-68. At the same time, the Bison fell to 65-71.
Maple used a clutch at-bat from Paul Oulton to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Marauders ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Buffalo manager Jon Green called the blowout loss "a real dud."
