The Montreal Mounties downed the Bloomington Blazers, 7-3, at Arson Arena. Chris Romanko led the way, going 4-for-5 for Montreal. Prince Williams got the win, improving to 9-9. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. With the win, Montreal pushed its record to 67-50.

Montreal used a clutch at-bat from Mark Edwards to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Mounties ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Edwards told the Montreal Observer.
