Marauders Best Ramrods, 6-1
|
Kyle Thomas pitched a gem to lead Maple to victory over the Huntington Station Ramrods, 6-1. Maple reliever Josh Brown picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Bryan Young was saddled with the loss. The Marauders now own a record of 44-73.
Maple took a 3-1 lead on Luis Garza's 36th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Garza hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Huntington Station pitcher Bryan Young visibly frustrated.
"Kyle was throwing strikes, locating well," said Maple manager Daniel Dillon.
