Butterflies Lose Late to Marauders
|
The Maple Marauders got a strong performance from pitcher Nick Cook. RCP60 stymied the Pennsylvania offense en route to a solid, 5-2 win at The Kaleidoscope. Maple pitcher Dennis Krupski earned the win, hiking his record to 8-0. Trace Yeadon suffered the loss. Sam Scott notched his 2nd save in 3 chances.
Frank Robinson III provided a timely hit. The Maple center fielder delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Marauders on top, 5-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Robinson III said. "And the same is true when you lose."
Maple, at 60-75, holds down 5th place in the Thurman Munson League East Division.
