Warriors Flatten Bison, 9-4

Behind the bravura of second baseman Johnny Roark, the Walnut Creek Warriors topped the Bighorn Bison by the score of 9-4. Roark went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Warriors. Danny Logan picked up the win, lifting his record to 11-8 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 2 in 5 innings, while yielding 4 runs. Walnut Creek, at 65-51, holds down first place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.
Early in the game, Roark had a 3-run home run for Walnut Creek. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Warriors on top, 3-0.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Roark.
